Si cette notion est au centre de la relativit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, elle dispara\u00eet dans certaines approches de la gravit\u00e9 quantique qui tentent de concilier deux visions du monde jusqu&rsquo;ici incompatibles &#8211; relativit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et physique quantique. Philosophes et physiciens travaillent ensemble \u00e0 comprendre la possible \u00e9mergence de l&rsquo;espace-temps \u00e0 partir de cet \u00e9trange constat. <a href=\"http:\/\/baptistelebihan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/LaRechercheV2Online.pdf\">T\u00e9l\u00e9charger.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"essai6\"><strong>2018. &lsquo;Contre les d\u00e9fenses du pr\u00e9sentisme par le sens commun&rsquo;,\u00a0<em>Igitur\u00a0<\/em>9(1): 1-23.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">R\u00e9sum\u00e9 : According to presentism, only the present exists. The view is in a bad dialectical situation since it has to face several objections based on physics and a priori arguments. The view remains nonetheless popular because it is, allegedly, more intuitive than alternative views, namely eternalism (past, present and future entities exist) and no-futurism (only past and present entities exist). In the essay, I shall not discuss whether intuitivity is an accurate criterion for ontological enquiry. I will rather argue that any philosophically acceptable version of presentism entails highly counterintuitive consequences. Indeed, the presentist has to commit herself to substantial claims in order to provide an answer to two problems\u00a0: the grounding problem and the cross-temporal relations problem. Therefore, if the main motivation for presentism is the willingness to stick with common sense intuitions, presentists should consider endorsing another view about existence in time.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.igitur.org\/Contre-les-defenses-du-presentisme\">Publisher&rsquo;s link (open access)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"essai6\"><strong>2018. &lsquo;L&rsquo;\u00e9ternit\u00e9 sans le temps&rsquo;,\u00a0<em>Revue philosophique de Louvain\u00a0<\/em>116 (3): 441-462.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/baptistelebihan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/louvain.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-544 size-medium alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/baptistelebihan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/louvain-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"94\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a>R\u00e9sum\u00e9 : L&rsquo;\u00e9ternalisme implique une forme exotique d&rsquo;\u00e9ternit\u00e9\u00a0: toute entit\u00e9, aussi \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re soit-elle et quelle que soit sa localisation dans le temps, existe relativement \u00e0 toute autre localisation temporelle. Cet essai vise, premi\u00e8rement, \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre l&rsquo;\u00e9ternalisme en exhibant les difficult\u00e9s r\u00e9dhibitoires du pr\u00e9sentisme et du non-futurisme, et deuxi\u00e8mement \u00e0 examiner de quelle mani\u00e8re l&rsquo;\u00e9ternalisme pourrait \u00eatre amend\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;aune d&rsquo;une affirmation que l&rsquo;on trouve sous la plume de certains physiciens, \u00e0 savoir que, fondamentalement, le temps n&rsquo;existe pas. La disparition du temps est-elle compatible avec la th\u00e8se \u00e9ternaliste\u00a0? Pourtant, on peut trouver plusieurs raisons de douter que les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s soient n\u00e9cessairement les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;une substance mat\u00e9rielle, \u00e0 la fois en m\u00e9taphysique avec la th\u00e9orie du faisceau, et en physique contemporaine \u00e0 travers les notions d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie du vide et de champ. Or, si les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s ne sont pas les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de substances mat\u00e9rielles, on peut s&rsquo;interroger sur la th\u00e9orie de l&rsquo;instanciation qu&rsquo;implique une telle th\u00e8se.
